Infrastructure
The City of Washington has a number of infrastructure advantages that help position businesses for success. In fact, we are proud to feature one of the few bridges spanning the Missouri River which serves as a vital link to Interstate 70.
Transportation
The City of Washington is conveniently located at the junction of Highways 100 and 47, both of which are four lanes. While we may not be located right off the interstate, we are only a short drive away from both Interstate 44 and Interstate 70.
Businesses and residents of the City of Washington enjoy convenient access to two airports. The Washington Regional Airport, owned and operated by the City, features a 5,000-foot runway and 36 hangars. The St. Louis Lambert International Airport serves as the primary gateway to the St. Louis region, offering a blend of convenience, modern amenities, and connectivity. With over 10 major airlines, STL provides direct flights to numerous domestic and international destinations.
Local businesses requiring rail options will find immediate and dependable service from BNSF Intermodal. They are the largest intermodal railroad covering over 32,500 miles! Plus, the City of Washington owns and operates its own rail spur "Team Track". The facility allows public access to ship and receive goods via rail on the Union Pacific Railroad.
