Healthcare

Washington is home to Mercy Hospital, a top-tier healthcare provider. Their facility has 187-beds with 144 physicians on staff and over 1,700 employees.  They are the only Level III Trauma Center between St. Louis and Jefferson City.



Plus, located near the main hospital, Mercy Clinic Family Medicine and the Mercy Cancer Center –  are dedicated to providing exceptional care with the latest advancements in medical and cancer treatments. At the Mercy Cancer Center, patients benefit from access to cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, groundbreaking clinical trials, and the most current therapies and medications, all delivered with unwavering compassion for patients and their families. 

For non-life threatening illnesses and injuries, our city has three walk-in clinics that can provide immediate medical care.  In addition to Mercy's ER,  Total Access Urgent Care is located near the intersection of Hwy 47 & 100, along with Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care.  In a nutshell, our community is well-equipped to meet the healthcare needs of the region.
